Stacy Newman

Stacy Newman, 46, passed away January 14, 2023, at her residence in Augusta, GA.

Stacy was a graduate of Lakeside High School and Augusta University where she earned a degree in psychology. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, SC.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father, Danny Allen Newman Sr. She is survived by her mother, Judy Newman; two biological children, Jonathan Newman and Aiden Newman and her brother, Dr. Danny Newman, Jr. (Meredith), all of Augusta, GA as well as a host of loving cousins and their families.

Stacy was extremely outgoing and engaging and always knew how to make people laugh. She enjoyed spending time in St. Augustine, FL with her family and made many happy memories there. She always cheered loudly at Aiden’s basketball games, much to his chagrin, and loved to hear Jon play his music. Although her life on earth was cut way too short, she is finally at peace and reunited in Heaven with her Heavenly Father and her earthly father whom she adored and was so much like.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd, Augusta, GA, 30907 with Reverend CT Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Recovery Ministry at Victory Baptist Church, 620 W. Martintown Rd. North Augusta, SC 29841.
