Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, June 8, 2016, Mr. Aaron Louis Blackston,
age 84, loving husband to the late Mary Elizabeth Blackston.

Mr. Blackston was a native of Blythe and resident of Martinez. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Blackston was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was known as Papa and Daddy, not only by his family but also by the excellent staff at Westwood Nursing Home.

Family members in addition to his late wife include daughter: Vera Yvonne Story; honorary daughter: Sandra Blackwell; granddaughter: Trina Story; great grandchildren: Camrey Bledsoe and Chad “C.J.” Bass, Jr; and one great great grandchild: Tristan Marquardt.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 12, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Kenneth Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Summerville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chadwick Bass, Jr., Daniel Wilson, Johnny Kissiah, Robbie Kissiah, Jeremy Nobles, and Robert Nobles
