Adam Doss

Augusta, GA – Adam Joshua Doss, 43, entered into rest on Saturday, December 17, 2022.

Adam was born on January 10, 1979, in Wichita, KS. He graduated from Wichita Heights High School in 1997. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Army and graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA. He served as an active duty Arabic linguist for six years and then joined the Army National Guard in 2007. Adam earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Augusta State University in 2007 and a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011. Adam served as the Dental Director at the Floyd County Health Department in Rome, GA and then worked as an associate dentist at Midtown Dental Care in Columbus, GA before moving back to Augusta. He purchased Sparkle Family Dentistry on Deans Bridge Rd. in 2016 and moved the practice to Columbia Rd. in 2021, merging with Reid Family Dentistry.

Adam is preceded in death by his father, Steve Doss. He is survived by his wife, Laura Doss; his twelve children: Joshua, Abigail, Esther, Hannah, Noah, Joseph, Peter, James, Mary Grace, Sarah Claire, Ruth Anna, and Elizabeth Joy Doss; his mother and stepfather, Ralene and Emil Bergquist; his brother, Jonathon Doss; and his stepsiblings: Tami Lakey (Chris) and Christopher Bergquist (Joy).

A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church, Presbyterian for the Children’s Education Building.
