Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at his residence, Mr. Alan B. Moore, 64, husband of RoseAnne Rountree Moore.
Mr. Moore was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd. He was a graduate of UGA School of Business where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and a lifelong supporter of the UGA Athletic Department. He was a small businessman and professional social entertainer.
Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Alan B. (Bo) Moore, Jr. (Leah), Wm. Benjamin (Ben) Calvin Moore; stepchildren: Jeffrey Scott Strickland(Scott), Richard Taylor Strickland (Taylor), Katharine Anne Strickland; grandchildren: Elizabeth Fowler Moore (Lillie), and Alan Bondurant Moore III (Tripp).
Mr. Moore was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Petway Moore.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Church of the Good Shepherd with The Rev. Robert Fain officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery gardens.
Memorials may be made to Press On, c/o CURE Childhood Cancer, 1835 Savow Drive, Suite 102, Atlanta, GA 30341, in memory of: Alan B. Moore, Sr. and in honor of : Brennan Simpkins.
