Alex Krygier

We are saddened to announce the passing of Alexander John Krygier III of Evans, Georgia. He died at age 66 on February 18, 2023. Alex passed away surrounded by his loved ones after battling a long-term illness.

Alex was born in 1956 to Eleanor and Alexander Krygier Jr. in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and was one of seven children. As a teenager, Alex attended high school in New Castle, Delaware. Upon graduation, Alex joined the U.S. Army, where he served for fifteen years. Being stationed in Germany was a highlight of his military career. After his service, he began a career as an electrician and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1579. He retired in 2019.

He married his wife, Terri Boyette, in September 1983. They were blessed to have two sons, Christopher and Michael. As a dedicated ‘soccer dad’, he traveled with his sons on weekends to participate in their soccer league games. In 2016, he became a proud grandfather to Elijah who affectionately called him “G”. Dedication to his family was his utmost priority.

During his free time, he was fond of watching football or soccer with his sons, as well as catching up on his favorite TV shows. He attended Warren Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship in the men’s bible study group. His most cherished hobby was putting together jigsaw puzzles. For the past four years, Alex had a special place in his heart for his Sadie girl, his Shetland sheepdog. Sadie served as a constant companion to Alex and they both loved each other so much.

He is preceded in death by his father and his two sisters, Vivian Ketner and Janice Givens. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Terri Krygier; his sons Christopher Krygier (Jessica) and Michael Krygier (Kimberly); his grandson, Elijah Krygier; his mother, Eleanor Krygier; and his brothers, Roger, Daniel (Cheryl), Patrick and Ernest Krygier.

The family would like to express gratitude to PCM Home Health and Regency Hospice for their care during this difficult time.
