Alice Morris Breithaupt

Entered into rest on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Mrs. Alice Morris Breithaupt, 87.

Alice was a lifelong native of Augusta, Georgia. She worked as an insurance specialist at University Hospital for 20 years. Alice was a member of West Acres Baptist Church. She loved her church and loved attending church. Alice enjoyed cooking. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was everything to her, especially her grandchildren.

Family members include her daughter: Vickie Edwards Ryles (Royce); son: Robert Eugene Edwards, Jr. (Patti); grandchildren: Kelli Adams (Trey), Daniel Corbitt, Trey Edwards (Karen), Megan Lumpkin (Nick) and Abby Edwards; nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; brother: Donald David Morris (Linda); sister: Eleanor Morris Granger and many other loving family members. Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years: Melvin Lee Breithaupt and her first husband and father of her children: Robert E. Edwards, Sr. and parents: James and Annie Morris.

The funeral service will be held Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Malone Morris officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 P.M., prior to the service at the funeral home.
