Augusta, GA – Mrs. Alice G. Massey, 89, wife of the late Vernon W. Massey, entered into rest Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Trinity Hospital.
Mrs. Massey was a native of Aiken County but lived in Augusta most of her life. Mr. and Mrs. Massey were members of National Hills Baptist Church for many years. She was a buyer for Sears Parts Dept. and retired in 1983 after 30 years. Alice was devoted to her entire family and we will miss her greatly.
Family members include son: David Massey; daughters: Elaine Summers, Jenny Wood and Diana LeBlanc; brother: Henry Lowe and wife Ruby; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of other family members.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Chime Bell Baptist Church, Aiken, SC. with Rev. Gary Fleetwood and Rev. Eric Massey officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at
