Alice Hattaway McGahee
Augusta, GA – Alice Hattaway McGahee, 90, beloved wife of the late Harvey William McGahee, Sr., went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 21, 2013.
Native of Glascock County, Mrs. McGahee was the daughter of the late Amos and Alice Hadden Hattaway. Mrs. McGahee was a 1940 graduate of Davisboro High School. She retired in 1988 as Collector of Revenues for the City of Augusta. She was a member of Fleming Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class, where she served with the Home Bound Ministry.
Family members include sons: Harvey W. McGahee, Jr. (Dana) of Lawton, OK, Murray L. McGahee (Diana) of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter: Debbie Pearson (Sam) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren: Elizabeth Pearson, Catherine Pearson, Pete Pearson (Kristen), Colin McGahee (Nicole); great-grandchildren: Davis Pearson, Jack Pearson; brother: Amos Hattaway, Jr. of Hemet, CA and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McGahee is preceded in death by her three brothers and five sisters.
A celebration of her life and home going will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the graveside in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
