Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Doctors Hospital, Mrs. Alice Ivey, 75, wife of John Allen Ivey.

Mrs. Ivey was born in Vidalia, GA and moved to Augusta in 1939 when she was 4 years old. She was a homemaker and member of National Hills Baptist Church.

Family members in addition to her husband include son, Rev. Myron Ivey and wife Lucie of Evans; daughter, Peggy Ivey of Martinez; grandchildren: Jonathan Ivey(who they raised as their son) of Martinez, Nicole Birak of Hopkinsville, KY, Ethan Ivey, Kathleen Ivey of Evans; and sister, Meagin Hilbert of Martinez.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at National Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Myron Ivey and Rev. Kevin Steele officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
