Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, September 28, 2012, Mrs. Allyson Phelps Stanland, 48, wife of Charles Frederick Stanland.
Mrs. Stanland graduated from Westside High School in 1982 and worked at Augusta State University in the Registrars office prior to her medical leave. She was the former Youth Minister at the Church of the Holy Comforter and a former bridal consultant at J.B. White. Mrs. Stanland was a life long Episcopalian and attended St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church. She enjoyed quilting and knitting.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Kathryn Rebecca Stanland; son: Michael Neal Janicki; and her mother Chris Shearin Phelps. She was preceded in death by her father Rev. Canon Howard Neal Phelps.
Funeral services will be private.
The family will receive friends Monday, October 1, 2012 from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M. at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in the Parish Hall.
