AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Mrs. Alyson Creed Jenkins, 46, beloved wife of Larry Don Jenkins and loving mother of Anderson Creed Jenkins, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at her residence. Alyson was born in Jacksonville, FL, to Albert Anderson Creed and Linda Clark Creed. She moved with her family to Augusta when she was eight years old. She attended Westside High School and graduated from Augusta College. After a brief career as a Case Manager for Care Management, Inc., Alyson devoted herself to her home, motherhood and volunteerism.

Alyson was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, a sustaining member in the Junior League of Augusta, an alumnae member of Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, an active member of the College Hill Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Reverend Pierre Robert Chapter, Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century. She was a dedicated volunteer for more than eleven years at Westminster Schools of Augusta.

Alyson was strong, smart, generous and always supportive of others. She touched the lives of friends and family in tender and positive ways. She will be remembered for her ever-present smile, her fair-minded spirit and her unfailing strength of character. She created a warm and happy home in which she entertained frequently. Before her recent health issues, Alyson enjoyed hosting dinner parties, luncheons and an annual mother-daughter tea, as well as casual cook-outs and class parties around the family swimming pool.

In addition to her husband, daughter and parents, Alyson is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Todd Clark Creed and Frances McGinnis Creed, and her nephew, Tanner Claiborne Creed, all of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Tyler Clark Creed.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
