Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, September 22, 2011, Mr. Andrew Louis James Layman, 45, husband of Mrs. Anita Turner Layman.

Mr. Layman was an Eagle Scout, retired from the US Navy with 20 years of service and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church. Andrew was an avid golfer and a Georgia Bulldog fan.

Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Brandi Nichole Layman, Danielle Marie Layman, Andrea Renee Layman, son: Cameron Turner, Christopher Cummings, brothers: William John James, Sr. and wife Sharron, Keith Alan James, Sr. and wife Anna, Michael Patrick James, Sr. and wife Teresa, grandson: Skylar James Williams, and parents: Ed and Dot Layman. He is preceded in death by his brother, Edward James Layman III.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandra Leightner officiating. Burial will be in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Derek Churchville, Pascal Mock, Jim Whitehead, Jr., Chris Schilling, Gary Melton, Jr., Steve Young, Billy Baxter, and Richard Isdell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the St. James Men’s Club.
