Andrew Lee Vowell

Andrew Lee Vowell August 17, 1995 - November 09, 2022, although his death is marked by the pain of drug addiction, there was always more to his life than addiction. Andrew was a bright light in the lives of his family. He loved his family, and friends with a passion. During happy times, he would often sing, dance and joke, just to make others happy. His smile would light the room and he never met a stranger. He was proud of his craft. After earning his GED, he learned to be a saw filer in Milan, Georgia and later worked at Pollards Lumber. He was talented with anything that involved his hands, especially drawing. He would spend time to himself just sketching. He was an outdoorsman and loved all sports-hunting, fishing, golf, softball, baseball, and football. He especially loved the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved trips to Myrtle Beach with his family and our happiest memories were made there together.
In celebration of his life, a service will be led by Pastor Matt Lever with a special word from Pastor Ray Reynolds. Personal tributes will be given by his brother, Matthew Vowell, Robert Sims (uncle), Taylor Vowell (cousin), and Burt Rayborn (Coach). These men have all impacted Andrew's life in a positive way. There are so many other friends and relatives that loved Andrew. Heartfelt love and thanks to all who ever tried to help him. Though Andrew lost his battle with drug addiction, he always wanted to beat it. His wish and that of his family would be for anyone struggling to please seek the help you need.
Family members include his parents: Joan Marie Wilson (Joanie), James Alan Vowell, Jr. (Jimmy and Laney Vowell), Matthew Carlton Vowell (brother), Amber Chastain and Taylor Kendall (stepsisters), Joan Vause Wilson (grandmother), Cynthia Lynne Wilson (Cindy), Pamela Wilson Gould (Pam), Frank Gould, William Henry Vowell (Billy), Whitney Alan Vowell (Whit), Travis and Angela Lovett (immediate aunts and uncles), Taylor Vowell and Logan Lovett (first cousins). Special love and thanks to the Sims family, Andrew’s aunts, uncles, and cousins who have all been with us throughout his struggle and who remain with us. Andrew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leroy Wilson, Geraldine Pardue Vowell and James Alan Vowell, Sr.
We, his family are honored that the following family and friends will serve as pallbearers: Taylor Vowell, Rob Sims, Charles Sims, Dylan Sims, Mickey Bass, Austen Alexander, Carl Harrell (Skeet), Cam Gassman, Bradley Parmer, Nick Clayton, John Paul Richardson, Anthony Boyer, Shaun Graham, Jackson Padgett, and JR Herzberg.
