Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, September 14, 2011, Mrs. Angela Sparks Old, 52, wife and best friend of husband Don Old.
Mrs. Old was a life long resident of Augusta, GA. She was a 1977 graduate of Butler High School. Mrs. Old retired from Georgia Department of Veterans Service with 27 ½ years of service as a Benefits Counselor. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a volunteer with the Lydia Project.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: Patrick Crapps (Susie) of Augusta, Wes Old (Stephanie) of Augusta, Zack Old of Augusta, Justin Old (Sharon) of Sumter, SC, grandchildren: Ryan and Tyler Crapps, Jaycie and Kason Old, sister: Pat Robertson of Girard, GA, parents: Gordon Sparks of Appling, GA and Elsie Bush (Thurmond) of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Dwayne Carter and Pastor Kim Webb officiating. Interment will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Glenn Morris, Christopher Morris, Michael Chancey, Tom Hall, Michael Robertson, and Vic Morris.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to The Lydia Project, 2501 McDowell Street Augusta, GA 30904.
