Evans, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, June 9, 2012, Mrs. Anita Ritchey, 82, wife of Rev. James Harold Ritchey.
Mrs. Ritchey was a native of Prichard, AL. She graduated from Baptist Hospital Nursing School in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Ritchey was a member of Bible Cathedral Church in Evans. She worked as a Nurse Team Leader for Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was an honorary mother of the Living Waters Church. Her great love was her church and her family.
Family members in addition to her husband include son: David Ritchey (Carolyn) of Augusta; daughter: Kay Ritchey Ocasio (Hiram) of Evans; granddaughters: Jeanine Ritchey and Breanne Ritchey Jenkins (Neil); sister: Joyce Smith Hall (Harry) of Knoxville, TN. Mrs. Ritchey was preceded in death by her daughter Lora Ann Ritchey.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Oscar Whiteside, Jr. and Rev. Bob Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Living Waters Church Building Fund 1319 Community Park Road, Augusta, GA 30909
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
