Ann Thigpen Burrum

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, December 25, 2022, Mrs. Ann Thigpen Burrum, 90, loving wife of Charles Burrum.

Ann grew up in Avera, raised her family in Wrens, and moved to Augusta in the 70’s where she worked for Piggly Wiggly. She was a member of Lakemont Presbyterian Church

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: Debra Radford and Kathy Robinson (Gerald); sons: Thomas Gordon Burke, Jr., James Paul Burke, and John Duane Burke; grandchildren: Samantha Arnold (Lee), Summer Burke, Julie Smothers (Tracy), Ashley McCarley, Chad Radford (Megan), Chris Radford (Britney), Davis Branch (Amy), Jessica Young, Justin Branch (Jennifer), Holley Burke (Walt), Sarah Kniphfer (Kraig), and Jamie Burke; and great grandchildren: Ben, Rigsby, Will, Gage, Burkley, Zach, Josh, Warner, Easton, Kendall, Chloe, Karah Grace, Krosson,Kingsley and Keaston; and her sister Betty Jean Timmerman. The family would like to thank everyone from Lakemont Presbyterian Church and Heartland Hospice for all the love and care throughout Ann’s illness.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Lillian Thigpen; brother: Lamar Thigpen; sisters: Earlene Godown and Mary Pileggi; and granddaughter: Kiley Drury.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Dave Vosseller officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Davis Branch, Justin Branch, John Jordon, Jay Jordon, Frankie Timmerman, and Greg Clements.
