Ann Sorrells Fuller
Atlanta, GA – Ann Sorrells Fuller, widow of Dr. William A. Fuller, died on April 3, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. Born March 2, 1919 in Slocomb, Alabama, she was the daughter of Joseph E.F. and Susan Wall Sorrells. She married Dr. Fuller in 1960 and moved to Augusta, Georgia where she resided for 50 years. She lived in Atlanta for the last eight years.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Anderson and her grandson, Theodore Anderson. She is survived by her son, Harold T. Barrett (Ann), her granddaughter, Margaret Young (Hoyt) and three grandsons, Rush S. Barrett (Jane), Crockett Anderson and Joseph Anderson; and by three great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons and one great great-grandson.
Whether on the golf course or at the bridge table or anywhere else, she always gave her best, with a spring in her step, particularly if she was able to pull out a win. Ann was an active and vibrant person who enjoyed walking every day until shortly before her death.
She was a past board member of the Georgia Women’s Golf Association, an active member of the University Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Camellia Garden Club, and a long time communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
There will be a graveside service at Westover Cemetery at 1 pm on Friday, April 7, 2017.
