Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Brandon Wilde, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hammack, 93, loving wife of 71 years to the late Shurley Hammack. 

Ann was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and the daughter of the late “Frenchie” and May Clair French. She graduated from Tubman High School. She grew up playing on a dirt road (Washington Road) and on the grounds and clubhouse of the Augusta National Golf Club. She was a charter member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Ann retired after 30 years as a finance account manager for Civil Service at Fort Gordon.

 Family members include her sons: Wes Hammack (Teresa) and Greg Hammack (Ellen); and grandchildren: April Hammack Noblett (James), Heather H. Brown (BJ), Ashley Pearson, Shannon Burton and Nicholas Hooper and eight great grandchildren; loving nephew: Jack Edwards and cousin: Pat O’Conner.

 A special thanks to Shirley Bardier for all the love and care she gave to our mother.

 A memorial service for Mr. Shurley Hammack  and Mrs. Ann Hammack will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark Methodist Church.

 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to St. Mark  Methodist Church, 2367 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30904.
