Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Augusta Gardens, Anna Elese Johnston, 99, wife of the late Frederick Wm. Johnston, Jr.
Mrs. Johnston was a resident of Augusta, GA for most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta. She graduated from Tubman High School and the Barrett School of Nursing. She was a member of the Junior League of Augusta, Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary, the Retired Nurses Association, Cross Country Garden Club and University Hospital Retired Nursing Association.
Family members include, son; Frederick W. Johnston III, U. S. Army retired and daughter-in-law, Alice G. Johnston of Sierra Vista, AZ. Three grandchildren; Rick Johnson of Sierra Vista, AZ, Allison DuBose (Darren) of Gilbert, AZ., Jennifer Rosson and husband Jim of Chandler, AZ., eight Great Grandchildren, brother, Eugene “Woody” Wolfe and wife, Laurie of Augusta, three nieces and 3 nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Jacob Malone officiating.
