Augusta, GA- Annadelle Coleman “Kitten” Weathers (October 19, 1939 – February 21, 2014) Born in Birmingham, Alabama, died peacefully at her home in Thomson, GA. Ms. Weathers was a Nursing graduate of Augusta College and was an accomplished Registered Nurse. She worked many years at Humana Hospital where she served as acting Nurse Manager on the Chemical Dependency Unit, as well as several other positions. She was a longtime member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in Augusta, Ga., and a passionate Christian believer. Ms. Weather’s hobbies included painting, voice and piano, aviculture, needlework and sewing, camping and hiking and she loved attending the Masters Golf Tournament. But her most loved and cherished moments where spent enjoying her children and four beloved granddaughters. She is survived by her daughter, Mendy G. Bradham and son-in-law, David (and her beloved grandchildren: Morgan, Annabel, Ezra, and Jasper) of Moncks Corner, S.C.; a son, Danny L. Lucas of Augusta, GA ; a sister, Alva Coleman Pinson of Laurens, S.C.; and a brother, L. Tom Coleman of Leesburg, FL. She had many beloved nieces and nephews, and through the years was especially close to niece, Kelly Patterson and great nephew, Spencer Coleman Patterson. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. John A. Coleman, her son, Edward Eugene “Gene” Gillum, and her brother, John A Coleman, III. She is also survived by longtime family friend and care-giver, Daniel Brady, son of dear and pre-deceased friends, Jack and Ann Brady of Augusta, GA.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Baxter Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
