AUGUSTA, GA. – Mrs. Anne Armour Snelling, retired registered nurse and beloved wife of Dr. George N. Snelling, entered into rest on Friday, June 4, 2010.
Anne was born in Washington, Georgia and graduated from the Medical College of Georgia School of Nursing in 1966. She later earned a Master of Nursing. In later years, she worked with her husband, Dr. George N. Snelling until retirement in 1998.
Anne was a dedicated nurse and wife whose hobbies included travel, reading, and medical research. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Other organizational memberships include Augusta Country Club, Westlake Country Club and the American Nursing Association. She will be fondly missed by family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Albert Huyck officiating. Entombment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
