Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Annee Averette McGahee, 87, wife of the late Harry L. McGahee, Sr.
Mrs. McGahee was born in Millen, GA. but resided in Martinez for the past 65 years. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. She retired from Augusta Richmond County Water Works. Mrs. McGahee was also a member of Georgia Power Ambassadors.
Family members include her son: Harry L. McGahee, Jr. (Bonnie) of Augusta, GA; grandson: Jeff McGahee (Ginger) of Augusta, GA; great-grandchildren: Morgan and Maycie McGahee; and brother: J. Wallace Averette of Hephzibah, GA.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Alan Chalker, Glen Scouten, Greg Milburn, Keith Milburn, Kevin Watkins and Will Hudson
