Annette was preceded in death by her son Philip, her parents Pete and Peg Barcomb, her sisters Deborah and Michelle and her brother Patrick.

Annette was born in Sharon, Connecticut on April 10, 1956. In addition to her vocation as wife and mother, Annette was the Director of Religious Education at St. Joseph Catholic Church where she focused much of her time on developing opportunities for families to grow in their faith. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Alleluia Community.

Annette fell in love with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd in 1978 when Sister Sheila Sentif opened an atria on the first floor below the apartment where Kurt and Annette resided in Rochester, New York. After many years she rediscovered this beautiful work and devoted over 20 years to this ministry as a catechist, a formation leader and championing the spread of atria throughout the Diocese of Savannah. She was a true visionary who loved to dream with God and pursue new ways to bring others home to the family of God.

Annette cultivated a home of radical hospitality and particularly enjoyed welcoming guests into her home where she and Kurt would recreate favorite culinary dishes from their travels. She loved planning and taking trips with the love of her life and was especially fond of finding unique experiences off the beaten path. She and Kurt always sought out new adventures and this often included thrift stores. She truly was a sustainable shopper before it became popular. Annette was a novice horticulturist who loved to restore the weakest of plants to health and beauty.
