Audrey Jean Brown

Entered into rest on Sunday, March 2, 2025, Audrey Jean Brown, 86, wife of the late Ronald Walter Brown.

Jean was a native of Augusta. She married a military man, Ronald W. Brown and became a true military wife and mom, raising their family while her husband was away. She worked in retail at J. B. White’s and then in banking and was known around the Augusta area for her Avon sales. Jean was a charter member of West Acres Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and bowled in a church bowling league. Jean loved music, enjoyed singing and was a huge Gaither fan.

Family members include her children: Dennis Brown, Karen Claeys (Jim), Barbara Miranda, Dawn Martin and Carl Dean Brown; grandchildren: Lou Ann Banning, Christopher Renfroe, Sarah Claeys, Lauren Claeys, Daniel Wrenn, Brittney Wrenn, Ian Martin and Daniel Ivy; eleven great grandchildren; sisters: Janice Helton and Julie Thigpen (Larry). She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Ronald Walter Brown; parents: Woodrow Keel and Lois Keel Derminio; brothers: Woody Keel and David Keel.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Robert C. Rayner.
