Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, October 23, 2014, Mrs. Azilee Able Cooper, 93. Mrs. Cooper was born in Batesburg, SC to the late L.P. and Nannie Fox and lived in West Columbia since 1958.

Mrs. Cooper was married to two Army Veterans (Guy H. Able, Jr. and Everett Cooper) and traveled worldwide during her lifetime. She loved her family and enjoyed playing bridge and fishing.

Family members include her son: Guy H. Able III (Mary); daughter: Carol A. Davis (Jerry); granddaughters: Cynthia King (David) and Debra Allsup (Steve); great-granddaughters: Ashleigh King, Kerri King and MacKenna Allsup; great-grandson: Eli Allsup; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by both of her husbands; brothers: Hoyt, Boldridge, Herman, Lynnwood and Buddy; sisters: Mae, Ruby, Evelyn and Blanche; and great-granddaughter: Kaitlyn “Katie” Ridenour.

Mrs. Cooper’s family wishes to offer special thanks for her excellent care at NHC Nursing Home in North Augusta and to the Burn/Wound Inpatient/Outpatient Services at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta.

A graveside service will be Friday, October 24, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery in Saluda, SC with Rev. Kirby Winstead officiating.

In lieu of flowers please consider making donations to “A Time for Special Remembrance” Fund at SRP Federal Credit Union at 125 Davis Road, Martinez, GA 30907.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 P.M. at the cemetery.
