Augusta, GA – Went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2012, Mrs. Barbara L. Gossett, 71, loving wife of 43 years to the late Samuel R. Gossett.
Mrs. Gossett was a native of Cleveland, Ohio but lived in the Augusta area for the last 35 years. She was a devoted wife, who is now joyfully reunited with her husband a year after his death. She was a loving mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren. Mrs. Gossett had a generous spirit and she never met a stranger. Her smile and laugh will be missed by all that knew her.
Family members include daughter: Cherilyn S. Biggs and her husband Jonathan; grandchildren: Ella Marie Biggs, Owen Raymond Biggs; dear cousin: Carm Antczak; and three nieces.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at The Sanctuary with Pastor Bryan Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Purple Heart Foundation, 7008 Little River Turnpike, P.O. Box 49, Annandale, VA 22003 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1190 Interstate Pkwy, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends Friday an hour prior to the service at the church.
