Milledgeville, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Georgia War Veterans Home, Mrs. Barbara Kellett Missildine, 77.
Mrs. Missildine was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Mrs. Missildine served in the U.S. Air Force. She retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital where she worked as a Switch Board Operator.
Family members include her daughters: Debra Goldman (Ronnie) of Augusta, Shirley Wold (Jeff) of Salem, VA; sisters: Maria Couch of Rincon, GA and the late Betty Easter; grandchildren: Janice Jacobs, James Kersey, Melody Meador, Janey Shaffer, Shannon Lawrence, Stevie Lawrence, Shawn Lawrence; great-grandchildren: Rebecca Kersey, Jayda Jacobs, Seth Meador, Reese Meador, Trey Lawrence; special nieces: Barbara and Laura; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Miracle Baptist Church, 1308 Hephzibah-McBean Road, Hephzibah, GA 30815 with Rev. Darren Spivey officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 17, 2010 beginning at 1:00 P.M. until time of the service at the church.
The family request that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions may be made to GWVH Veterans Benefit Fund, Georgia War Veterans’ Home, Attn: Jenny Roach, 2249 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA 31061 or the charity of one’s choice.
