Barbara Limehouse

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Mrs. Barbara Limehouse, 90, loving wife of the late Edgar “Ed” Limehouse. 

She was born in Old Ellenton, SC to Jake and Lena Bell. She is survived by her sister: Betty B. Bracewell (Ronnie); nephew: Ronald Bracewell, Jr. (Susan); nieces: Pamela B. Pilcher and Ellen B. Jones (Danny); great nephews: Taylor (Tiffany), Andy, and Jake Bracewell; great nieces: Morgan and Mallory Pilcher; cousins: Kenny Bryant, Brad and Debbie Park, and numerous sweet cousins.

Barbara moved to Vidalia, GA when she was two years old. She graduated from Vidalia High School and Andrew College in Cuthbert, Ga. She worked in the Vidalia Library and for her dad. 

She moved to Augusta in 1960 and married Ed in 1963. Following his death, she enjoyed volunteering with the resource center at St. Joseph Hospital and Trinity Hospital. Barbara loved people, her family and friends. She was a member of the Joy Club and Warren Baptist Church. 

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 1:30 P.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following her service at the graveside. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Citizens Council at P.O. Box 1546, Augusta, GA 30903.
