Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Mrs. Barbara M. Watwood, 83, wife of the late Mr. James A. “Jim” Watwood.
Mrs. Watwood was an active member of St. Andrew Presbyterian Church where she participated in the St. Andrew Presbyterian Women. Prior to moving to Augusta, she was an active member at Heritage Presbyterian Church and Sixes Presbyterian Church in Woodstock, GA.
Family members include sons: Dr. Britt Watwood (Linda) of Richmond, VA, Richard Watwood (Terri) of Decatur, AL and David Watwood (Sherre) of Augusta; grandchildren: Melissa Frail (Chris), Dr. Stephanie Watwood (Chris), Charles Watwood (Brooke), Leigh Watwood, Jordan Watwood (Joanna), Aaron Watwood (Sara), Mary Grace Watwood, Luke Watwood and the late Annie Ruth Watwood; and great grandchildren: Alex Frail, Molly Frail, Jack Frail, Elliot Roman, Marin Roman, Judah Watwood, Blythe Watwood and Charlotte Watwood.
A funeral service will be held Friday, November 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Rev. Edward C. Rees IV officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church at 3551 Wheeler Road, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 P.M. until the time of service at the church.
