Beatrice “Bea” Marguerite Visintainer
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Beatrice “Bea” Marguerite Visintainer, 88, went to be with Jesus her Savior on Friday, January 8, 2021 surrounded by her family at home. She joined her beloved husband of 58 years, the late Robert “Bob” Edmund Visintainer, and her daughter, the late Mary Beatrice Jackson, in glory.
A native of Dover, Ohio, Bea married her husband Bob in 1954 and the couple moved to Augusta, GA in 1979. She was a full covenant member of the Alleluia Community and longtime parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Bea loved others with generous abandon and was well-loved in return. She was a devoted and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her big heart and affectionate, outgoing personality endeared her to all, and she was a mother to many outside her biological family. Bea was a devout servant of Jesus and a constant advocate for others in prayer. She was courageous and spunky, funny and tender, and full of energy and zest for life. She enjoyed traveling, playing card games, crocheting, singing, laughing, praising the Lord, and gathering with family.
She was mother to: Karin Phillips (Bill), Robert J. Visintainer (Kathy), David Visintainer (Mary), Joyce Garner (Craig), John Visintainer (Becky), Paul Visintainer (Heather), the late Mary Beatrice Jackson, 27 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters: Elizabeth McIntire, Mary Gress, Martha Syckes, and Karla Lee (Jim); and sister-in-law: Joyce Choquette (Tom) and preceded in death by her brothers: the late William Pfister and the late Edward Honabarger.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Alleluia Community Cemetery in Dearing, GA.
