Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 29, 2012, Mrs. Beatrice Handy McCahill Herring, 74, wife of the late Mr. James McCahill, the father of her children and the late Mr. Ernest Herring.
Beatrice was born to Robert and Elvira Handy in Donna, TX, the fourth of 15 children. She served in the US Army then became a wife and mother. She was loved by everyone who knew her.
Family members include her son: Brendan McCahill (Iraida); daughters: Bridget Love (James) and Barbara McCahill Viera; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 9 brothers and 4 sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Pablo Migone officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
A Vigil service for the deceased will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com
