Mr. Bernard E. Owen, 92, loving husband to Evelyn B. Owen.
Bernard was a Manuel Arts Therapist at the V.A. Hospital. He was also the Director–Augusta Jaycee Pre Employment Clinic. He was a member of the Trinity On-The-Hill United Methodist Church.
Family members in addition to his wife: Evelyn B. Owen of Augusta include: daughters: Kimberly Owen Massey and husband Rick of Marietta, GA and Lisa Owen Newham and husband Ron of Decatur, GA; grandchildren: Amanda and Thomas Massey. The Family wishes to thank the Staff at the Augusta Gardens Assisted Living Community and Gentiva Hospice.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will take place at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens, 4830 Columbia Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, Ga 30809.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14, 2016, following the service before leaving for Orangeburg.
