Betty Mills Avret

Augusta, Georgia – Entered into rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Betty Mills Avret, 88, beloved wife of the late Randal L. Avret.
Betty was born in Twin City to Nancy and George Mills on September 5, 1932. She worked as a telephone operator for Bell South for over 40 years. Her friend Liz Avret introduced her to her brother (Randal Avret) who became the love of her life. Five years later she was blessed with a son, Randy Avret who was her only child. She was a grandmother to Tyler and Jared Avret who become her whole world. She doted on them and never missed an opportunity to attend their activities. Through these activities she met numerous people who became great friends and affectionately called her Grandma Betty. She was a faithful member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church in Evans, GA for over 25 years. No matter who the gathering included she was always the life of the party and her contagious laugh could not be contained.
Family members, in addition to her husband include her son: Randy Avret (Amy), Grandchildren: Tyler (Doris) and Jared. She had 9 brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
