Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, April 14, 2016, Betty F. Thompson Allen, 76.
Betty was employed by Richmond County Board of Education for over 20 years. She was a teacher at John Milledge Elementary and Clara Jenkins Elementary. She worked in the nursery of Augusta Primitive Baptist Church. Her passion to help those in need was reflected for all of God;s creations. Mrs. Allen majored in Early Childhood Education and minored with a degree in Art. She was known by many for her love and enduring faith, a place was reserved in her heart for all of God's creations.
Family members include her one son: Andrew A. Allen (Joy) of Grovetown; one daughter: Andrea E. Allen-Lee of Augusta; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters: Brenda Beasley, Dianna Mixon, and Laura Mixon; She is predeceased by her son: Albert Allen, two sisters: Patricia “Cookie” Evatt and Rose; and brothers: Fred Thompson, Bill Thompson, and Jerry Thompson.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son. Interment at Westover Memorial Park.
