Mrs. Hamilton is a native of Gibson, GA. She worked at Martinez Elementary School in the lunchroom for 7 years. Mrs. Hamilton loved working in her yard and gardening. She was a good wife, mother and granny. Mrs. Hamilton loved her family and grandchildren first.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughters: Yvonne DaVitte (George) of Evans, GA, Wylene Horton (Johnny) of Martinez, GA; son: Robert E. Hamilton, Jr. of Martinez, GA; grandchildren: Nicole Poteet (Andrew), Scott Hamilton, Amber Gaskins (Rick), Jacob DaVitte, Taylor Horton, Cole Horton; great-grandchildren: Sadie Poteet, Jaycie Poteet, Kinsley Gaskins; sister: Patricia Corbelli; niece: Judy Saxon.
Cryptside service will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Bellevue Mausoleum with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2807 Washington Road, Suite B, #146, Augusta, GA 30909.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cryptside.
