Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, April 4, 2010 at her residence, Mrs. Betty Jean Henry, 85, loving wife for 56 years of the late Donald W. Henry.
Mrs. Henry was a native of Columbia, SC but resided in Augusta since 2007. She was a member of the Eastern Star Shandon Chapter 193. She worked in the office of Winngray Campground in Maggie Valley, NC. Mrs. Henry retired from Woolworth’s as office manager for 14 years.
Family members include her son: Michael J. Henry (Elaine) of Augusta; grandchildren: David Aaron Henry, Kristen Leigh Henry, both of Grovetown; step-grandchildren: Jayne Jones (Bill), Traci Dodson (Barry), Denise Sloan; great grandchildren: Allen Jones, Brandon Jones(friend Jennifer White), Brittany Jones, Justin Williams, Jason Williams, Amber Easterling, Tyler Dodson, Mallory Dodson; great-great grandchildren: Brysen Williams, Skylar Williams, Madelynne Grubisa; sister: Mary Ann Steele of East Palistine, OH; and sister-in-law: Ginger Taylor of Caleutta, OH. She was preceded in death by a brother: Bill Taylor.
Funeral services will be private.
