Betty Jean Patrick

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, December 7, 2023, Betty Jean Patrick, 90, loving wife of 67 years to the late James E. “Zack” Patrick.

Betty was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. She attended Tubman School but graduated from the Academy of Richmond County the first coed class.  Betty attended Xray Technician school. In her later years, Betty worked for Dr. Ace Brown. She was a long-time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. Betty was a great mom, she enjoyed spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family members include her sons: James “Jay” E. Patrick, Jr. (Teresa) and Robert “Van” Patrick; grandchildren: Emily P. Reavill (Dr. Chris), Bobby Patrick and Katie Kennicutt (Daniel); great-grandchildren: Blakely and Colton Patrick, Ellie Kennicutt, Harrison, Wells, and Brooks Reavill and her brother: Harold Kitchens.

The funeral service will be held Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tony Christie officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
