Betty W. Lass

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, Betty Williamson Lass, 87, loving wife of the late Charles M. Lass.

Betty was a native of Augusta, GA. She worked in data processing at King Mill for over 35 years. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Children’s Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and her life reflected that relationship. She was a devoted Daughter, Wife, Mother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Grandma, and “Nannie.” In her free time, Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking, taking pictures, and traveling with her family and friends. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan.

Family members include her daughters: Lynn Jenkins and Carolyn Bugg; grandchildren: Brenae Waugh (Austin), Tyler Bugg, Lauren Gilliland (Kyle), Ryan Bugg (Ashley), and Kelli Bugg; great-grandchildren: Raleigh Cate, Carrington, Austin Grace, and Chapman Waugh, Cayden and Woodlyn Gilliland; brother: Jimmy Williamson (Lynda); and brother-in-law: Cecil Cliett. She is predeceased by her parents, John A. Williamson and Mattie Williamson Waldroup; her sister, JoAnne Cliett; and her son-in-law, Steve Jenkins.

The family would like to thank the staff of Thrive Augusta for the love and compassion that they showed Betty while she was under their care.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
