Betty Rouse

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, October 29, 2022, Mrs. Betty Lou Bowman Rouse, 96, loving wife of the late Caswell H. Rouse Jr.

Betty was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta and graduated from Tubman School for Girls. She travelled all over the world as an Army wife. She was a loving wife and mother and sacrificed many things so that her children would not go without. She was a former member of West Augusta Baptist Church and was a born again Christian. Betty loved her poodles and her favorite Sadie Pearl.

Family members include her daughter: Gwendolyn R. Weaver (Doug); and sister: Johnnie Connell. Betty was preceded in death by her husband and her sons: James H. Rouse and Robert C. Rouse.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Don Prosser officiating with niece Gigi Davis to play music selections. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
