Betty Wiggins

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, September 8, 2022, Betty R. Wiggins, 91, loving wife of the late Dr. Stewart Wiggins, Sr.
Betty was a native of Millen, GA. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Business. While attending Georgia, she met her husband, Stewart. In 1960, they moved to Augusta for Stewart to begin a career as a Professor of Psychology at MCG and later at Augusta College as well. As well as being a homemaker, Betty worked as an administrator at Green Meadows Golf Club for many years. She was a loving wife and mother. She had a positive outlook on life and never met a stranger. She was always doing for others and will be dearly missed by her family.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, Myrtle, and Ruby, for all their love and care.
Family members include her children: Joan Mills (Robert) and Stewart Wiggins, Jr. (Cindy); grandchildren: Ashlyn Wiggins Hobbs (Jordan) and Kayla Mills; great-grandchildren: Rhett, Camille, and Tucker; and stepdaughters: Libbie and Grace.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
