Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, December 31, 2016, Mrs. Beverly Ann Hickok Aldrich, 87, wife to the late Richard A. Aldrich.

Beverly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 71 of North Augusta. She was a special lady who continued to draw people to her until her final days and never met a stranger. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, her pets throughout her life, teaching first her children and then others how to bowl, water ski, and she always filled her home with neighborhood kids. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Family members include her children: Richard A. Aldrich, Jr. (Janis) of Surprise, AZ, Janice A. Harrell (Dean) of Martinez, GA, Brian K. Aldrich of Augusta, GA, and Laurie A. Wood (Graham) of Martinez, GA; son-in-law: Gary Turner of Columbus, MS; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; friend and caregiver: Beckie Akins of Hephzibah, GA. In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Aldrich Turner, son, Jeffrey Steven Aldrich, and brother, Wally Hickok.

The funeral service will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 71, P.O. Box 6036, North Augusta, SC 29861-6036.
