Beverly Arnold: A Life of Love and Dedication

Beverly (Bucky) Arnold, 77, beloved wife of James T. Arnold Jr. (Tony), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2025 with her husband and family by her side. 

Beverly's warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Beverly dedicated her professional life to the education and well-being of children. She was a valued employee of A. Brian Merry Elementary School from 1982 to 2004, serving as Principal from 1991 to 2004. Her outstanding service and dedication earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious “WRDW Golden Apple” award. Beverly enjoyed gardening, family vacations to Folly Beach, and spending as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren. Her life was a shining example of love, dedication, and service. Beverly's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered. 

Beverly is survived by her loving husband Tony; her daughters Holly Arnold Rippy (Kevin) of Augusta, GA, and Candace Arnold Taberner (Chad) of Gordonsville, VA; and her cherished grandchildren SaraGrace Rippy, Joel Rippy, MaryAnna Faith (Annie) Rippy, Abby Elizabeth Rippy, Jacob Chadwick Taberner, and Logan Keith Taberner. 

The family appreciates the exceptional care provided by her caregivers, including Sheila Wilson (MYD) and Lucille Golden (MYD), during Beverly's final months.

The family also would like to extend a special “thank you” to John Forde.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907. 

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Rd. Augusta, GA 30904 with Pastor Hal Hodgens officiating. Pallbearers will be David Arnold, Kevin Rippy, Joel Rippy, Jacob Taberner, Logan Taberner, and Chad Taberner.
