Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, December 27, 2015, Mr. Bill H. Shields, 83, loving husband of 64 years to Mrs. Joyce Clayton Shields.
Bill was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He was the son of Lott and Mary Martin Shields. Mr. Shields was a member of the Local 150 for almost 65 years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan.
Family members in addition to his wife include children: Karen Shields Miller (Donnie), Billy Shields (Kim), Angela Shields, David Shields (Cheryl) and Dana Shields; grandchildren: Billy Shields, Jennifer Shields, Kristy Miller and Steven McFadden; brother: the late James “Dink” Shields; and sister: Susan Shields Fernandes (Mike).
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Herman Albrecht, Ben Albrecht and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 150.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lynndale School, Inc. 1490 Eisenhower Drive, Augusta, GA 30904.
