Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, July 10, 2023, Billy J. Moore, 89.

Billy was born in Johnson City, Tennessee and served in the US Army Reserves. Billy worked at Mid-South Container for over 20 years. A jack of all trades, he was a hard worker and owned his own painting business. Billy especially enjoyed fishing to relax.

Family members include his children: Michael Moore and Jenny Barden; grandchildren: Michael David Moore, Charles Barden, Karen Ronan and 2 great grandchildren. Billy was preceded in death by his son Steve Moore.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
