Augusta, GA – Bobbie Jean Horton, 80, entered into rest Tuesday, December 31, 2013.
Bobbie Jean was the daughter of the late Robert Kitchens and Alice Moats Kitchens Usry of Glascock County.
Family members include daughter: Sharon Lynne H. Adams (Tim), granddaughters: Tiffany Formby (Samuel), and Jennifer Adams, and sister: Dorothy Clark. She is preceded in death by her son: Billy Samuel Horton, Jr., and sisters: Frances Inez Kitchens, Ethel Gray Hinton, Mary Bessie “Dolly” McGraw, and Grace McGraw Holton.
She was an active member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, Alice Warren Chapter #483 Order of the Eastern Star, and the Quarter Century Retiree Club of First Union Bank. She enjoyed cooking for others, fishing, and gardening.
Memorials may be made to Mann Memorial United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Mann Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Bernard Sonny Mason officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Alice Warren Chapter of the Eastern Star. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Private family graveside burial will be at a later time.
