Augusta, GA – Bobbie Hasty Olivero, 89, entered into rest Friday, September 1, 2023.

She was born to the late Wesley W. and Bertha S. Hasty in Augusta, Georgia. Bobbie graduated from the Academy of Richmond County in 1952. She married the late Joseph J. Olivero in 1959. She lived in Brooklyn, New York until she returned to Augusta in 1981 with her two sons, Derek S. Olivero and Shawn G. Olivero.

Bobbie started her career as a legal secretary in Augusta. After moving to New York, she became a Legal Administrator to a law firm located in the World Trade Center in Manhattan, New York. After returning to Augusta, she worked in the legal field until her retirement in 1992. After her retirement she enjoyed working part time at The Senior Citizens Council of Augusta and at The Augusta Museum of History.

Bobbie is survived by her son, Derek Olivero, grandson, Marc J. Olivero, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kermit E. Hasty, her sisters, Myrtice Louise Hasty, Edna H. Williams, and Monteen H. Toole (Wallace), and her son, Shawn G. Olivero.

Bobbie was a member of The Church of the Most Holy Trinity. She found immense joy in her faith, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, 720 Telfair Street, Augusta, GA.

The funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Fr. Jacob Almeter celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
