Mr. Bobby E. Crawley Sr., 80, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24th, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Sons with Reverend Tony Christine officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Bobby was born on July 4th, 1943, in Augusta, GA to the late Herman and Rubye Crawley. Upon his graduation from the Academy of Richmond County, Bobby enlisted to serve in the United States Navy. After his military service, Bobby joined the UA Local 150 Plumbers and Steamfitters, where he was a member for fifty-eight years. Bobby worked two jobs, pulling double duty as a General Foreman during the day and repairing boat propellers for local boaters at night. Bobby’s dedication to his craft of welding led him to open Southeastern Prop Repair in 1976 and decided to fully dedicate himself to his craft in 1995. Bobby continued to refurbish damaged boat propellers into pristine condition for over fifty years. Keeping himself busy, Bobby enjoyed quite a few hobbies. He was a proud member of the Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #158. He enjoyed researching information about Confederate soldiers buried around the CSRA, which also included him researching his own personal family history. He enjoyed attending church services at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Bobby placed first place in multiple car shows with his Black Ford Ranchero. In earlier years, Bobby enjoyed racing boats in the Augusta Southern Nationals. He loved watching his favorite college football team, the Georgia Bulldogs, experimenting with woodworking, and having the chance to talk and reminisce with loved ones, friends and colleagues about the good old days especially with those who called him “Bossman”.

Bobby is preceded in death by his father and mother, his niece, Susan Reece, and his loyal and faithful German Shepherd, Rebel.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Glenda Reece (Jimmy) of Mauldin, SC, his life partner, Teresa Singletary of Augusta, GA, his daughter, Jessica Krygier (Chris), his son Bobby Crawley Jr (Wendy) of North Augusta, SC, his nephew, Charles Reece (Gwen) of Simpsonville, SC, and his cousin, Jimmy Crawley (Lynn) of Thomson, GA. He was a proud grandfather to Hunter Crawley, Everett Crawley, and Elijah Krygier. Bobby also leaves behind his kitty cat companions that gave him abundant joy for many years.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Doctors Hospital of Augusta and GA Hospice Care for the care that was shown during such a difficult time.
