Augusta, GA – Went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 03, 2014, Mr. Bobby Harold Dixon, 78, husband of 58 years to Ruth W. Dixon.

Mr. Dixon was a native of Tattnall County. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Air Force. He retired in 2007 after 18 years as a truck driver for Kimberly-Clark. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Debbie Walker and her husband Ray, Cathy Wall and her husband Gerald; son: Don Dixon and his wife Randa; grandchildren: Kimberly Livingston (Daniel), Lisa Walker (Terry), Daniel Walker (Rachel), Brandon Dixon, Brittany Dixon; niece: Sarah Sykes; and sister: Cheryl Davis. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Dixon, and by his sister, Betty Sykes and her husband W.L.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Stephen Black officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Walker, Daniel Livingston, Terry Shockey, Brandon Dixon, Ray Walker, and Gerald Wall.

Memorial contributions may be made to Solomon’s Porch Pentecostal Holiness Church, 2314 Old Savannah Rd., Augusta, GA 30906.
