Augusta, GA – Mr. Bobby Dwain Childs, 74, entered into rest at his home surrounded by family and loved ones on January 3, 2014.
Mr. Childs is survived by his four children: Miki Bryce (Wyche) of Yadkinville, NC, Steve Childs (Pam) of Martinez, GA, Vicki Courtney (Tim) of Evans, GA, and Chris Childs (Lisa) of Evans, GA. Mr. Childs was a loving grandfather to Rob Minton (Tara), Russell Minton (Beth), Jessica Bagwell (Patrick), David Childs, Taylor Childs, Dylan Courtney, Rebekah Childs, and five great-grandchildren. He was a faithful older brother to Barbara Childs of Evans, GA. He is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 54 years, Runelle Childs, as well as his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Childs and older brother, Billy Childs. He was an automobile dealer for 54 years.
Mr. Childs was a long time and faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church of Martinez. He was also a member of Trinity Men’s Sunday School Class.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, January 6, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church. Entombment will be private. Pallbearers to include: Bobby Oswald, Ronnie Michaels, Joe McGuire, Ernie Shephard, Bud Lawrence, and Daniel Cason.
