Bob Peterson

Entered into rest on Monday, January 8, 2024, Bobby Ray Peterson, 91, loving husband of to Mrs. Elaine Peterson.

Bob was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years, during which he served two tours in Vietnam and Korea. Bob was a member at Pineview Baptist Church, where he was a Deacon and taught Sunday School. He enjoyed being in his shop and woodworking.

Family members in addition to his wife include his daughter and son in-law: Ginger and Dennis Gruba; grandchildren: Jeremy Gruba, Jason Gruba and Matthew Gruba (Bridget);  niece: Suzie Woodall (Jack); nephew: Noel Dunivant (Shelby) and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Vesta Peterson and brothers: Harold Peterson and G. F. Peterson.

The funeral service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Pine View Baptist Church with Rev. John Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class at Pineview Baptist Church.
